N.20: Nespresso launches its most valuable capsule

It comes from Colombia a small revolution in the world of coffee: to realize that it is Nespresso, which launches its new N.20 capsule on the market containing a completely new and exclusive variety of Colombian coffee. It took twenty years to create: twenty years of research, efforts, studies to identify the perfect blend. A crossing of the two best Arabica plants in terms of flavor and the identification of a terroir, the Colombian, as the ideal place to plant and cultivate the new variety.

The result is a coffee with completely new sensory propertieswhich releases over nine hundred aromas such as orange blossom, fresh citrus and subtle notes of jasmine and releases a fresh, elegantly balanced acidity on the palate, suggesting excellent balance. Valuable not only for its properties, but precisely for its finesse: The cultivation of N.20 was entrusted to a group of fifty-nine Colombian farmers, who collectively planted, cultivated and cared for just one million plants in total.

How the “perfect coffee” is born.

Not only that: N.20 is also a symbol of Nespresso’s commitment to the sustainability of the entire supply chain, a project that aims to create shared value for shared benefit, with the farmers included in the Nespresso AAA Sustainability Quality™ program (launched in 2003 in partnership with the NGO Rainforest Alliance to improve yield and quality of crops, ensuring a sustainable supply of high-quality coffee and improving the living conditions of workers in the supply chain) and received an award as a reward for their investments in sustainable quality.
